Carbohydrates

Oats
Oats are extremely high in manganese and molybdenum and make up the majority of the carbohydrates in Biolent. Oats also contain a type of fiber called beta-glucan which can lower total and LDL cholesterol, reducing your risk of heart disease.

Buckwheat
Contrary to popular belief, buckwheat is a not a grain but a fruit seed, therefore it does not contain gluten. Buckwheat is high in phytonutrients that act to enhance the absorption of certain vitamins and minerals. These phytonutrients also act as antioxidants within the body, which reduce the risk of cancer and are thought to slow the aging process. Buckwheat is also high in phytase, an enzyme  which improves the bioavaliability of plant-derived vitamins and minerals as well improving the digestion of carbohydrates and proteins.

Fats

Flax Seeds
Flax seeds are one of the few foods that contain more omega 3 fatty acids than omega 6. Having a correct ratio of omega 3s and 6s can reduce inflammation and prevent depression. Flax seeds are also high in fiber which can help your microbiome and improve digestion.

Coconuts
Coconuts are full of vitamins and minerals including vitamin B, C, E, magnesium and potassium. They contain some of the healthiest fats from natural sources and can also help prevent heart disease.
Sunflower Seeds
With massive amounts of Omega-6s, micronutrients and fiber, sunflower seeds are a great fat to have. Considered by some experts as being one of the healthiest foods out there, sunflower seeds are packed with Vitamin E, Copper and B vitamins.

Protein

Brown Rice Protein
Brown rice is an environmentally friendly, natural, hypoallergenic protein source. Brown rice protein also contains large amounts of vitamin E, which acts as an antioxidant and B vitamins that improve cell metabolism and can support a healthy nervous system.

Pea Protein
Pea Protein has a great amino acid profile that complements rice protein due to its high concentration of lysine. Pea protein can also help you lose weight by reducing cravings due to its high levels of peptides.

Superfoods

Spirulina
Arguably the most nutritionally dense food on the planet, spirulina can help fight cardiovascular disease, cancers and diabetes. Three grams of spirulina has more antioxidants than five servings of vegetables, which can help improve muscle strength and endurance.

Chia Seeds
Used by Aztec runners for centuries, Chia seeds are known for their energy boosting properties. They contain high amounts of antioxidants and fiber as well as an impressive amount of omega 3 fatty acids. Chia seeds absorb water to make a gel-like substance. This acts as a natural emulsifier and helps slow digestion, resulting in feeling satiated for longer.

Kale
Kale is naturally high in vitamin A and C, both of which are antioxidants. Kale is also one of the few vegetables that are high in vitamin K. The form of vitamin K is optimally absorbed in your body and can be directly used to help prevent osteoporosis and cancers.

Probiotics
Biolent contains a specialized 4 strain formula of added probiotics. Each bag contains 12 billion active cells that will aid in proper digestion and nutrient absorption.
