Customer Reviews
Was pleasantly surprised at the taste, and the time of delivery. Will order again.
Great way to add food to your diet , tastes good easy to make.
I never have the time, or the motivation, to prepare healthy meals. This fits the bill for me exactly. I'll purchase again for sure.
Something healthy, quick, and actually quite tasty. I have seen people comment that it's annoying that it doesn't achieve the desired texture instantly and that you have to wait, but this is no problem. Honestly, if you're so worried about time, you should already have a plan worked out for your day so that you can have it ready when you want it. The macro count is very nice and oh boy do I like the micronutrient profile. So far I've had a single meal (4 scoops), with 4 cups water, 1 tablespoon of cacao powder. I let that sit for about 2 hours and it's prefect in my opinion. I will experiment with other flavours as well. Might add some orange extract in there, or try cacao and banana.
Shipment speed was great as well. I'm in southern Ontario and 28 meals were delivered in 3 days.
As far as I've seen this company is quite responsive and attentive.
You're doing god's work with this product Biolent, keep it up.
I ordered 112 meals of the Biolent Flex.
So the order showed up within four business days, which is pretty awesome considering how large the order was. The box itself contained several silver pouches containing the powder. One of the pouches was broken open but after sending a message via the contact us link they refunded a pouch immediately. It was nice to feel heart, and to have my issue resolved immediately.
Flex itself is a bit sweet in taste, but definitely easy to drink and has a great flavor. A step up from the Soylent powder in texture and taste. Mixes easily, and does settle a bit, isn't an issue to break up with a few shakes of the bottle with a mixer ball or module. Investing in a few shaker bottles is a good idea, as it makes consistently being able to have meal pre-made and ready easy.
I'm overwhelmingly impressed with this product, the taste is really good, has a consistent good flavor when mixed with coffee, milk, or water. Shipping was fast, living in Canada by the way. The response by the company in regards to the damaged product bag from shipping was not just incredibly fast, but very much appreciated and shows how developing good relations with their customers is important to them.
I absolutely support this product and the company. Thank you so much.
My biggest complaint is that Biolent separates rapidly no matter how long it was shook. I had to shake between sips which was an inconvenience at work especially since it was hard to find a small container that did not leak while doing this.
My second biggest complaint is that it contains fake sugar. I didn't read the ingredients well enough when I bought it so that part is my fault. The taste took some getting used to. Fake sugar is also a common migraine trigger, but I did not notice an increase in headaches when consuming once per day.
It was ok in terms of satiety and energy, but nowhere near as good as Soylent. It was more like a snack for me then a meal replacement.
This stuff is exactly what I was looking for.
I've used Biolent Flex for 3 months at about 50% of my daily food intake (1 Biolent meal in the morning, 1 Biolent meal at night, and regular food meal & snacks in between). Then I got a cold or flu and due to such I went to 100% Biolent for my daily food intake for about 3 weeks. It was the loss of appetite for normal foods (easy to just drink Biolent though), and difficulties of making food while sick that made me go 100% on Biolent for food intake. Anyways, I didn't notice any ill effects of being on a 100% Biolent Flex diet. I did take a multi-vitamin twice in those 3 weeks when I felt weird and it went away, but not sure if that was because of the cold/flu. For the past week I'm at a semi 100% biolent to 75% biolent diet. This stuff really helped when I was sick, and there was no issues for me transitioning back and forth from 100% Biolent diet and regular food.
As for the taste and texture of Biolent Flex, I like the taste and the texture is alright, slightly grainy/unsmooth.
I'm lactose intolerant so I can't take whey protein or other meal replacements (ensure, equate, boost) without getting indigestion. Biolent is lactose free so I have no problems drinking it. Also Biolent is really a meal replacement, the other protein powders I had in the past didn't fill me up the same since they were meant to be a supplement.
The shipping experience I've had has been pretty good as well. Typical it takes about a week for it to be delivered to me, there's package tracking and I get an email from Biolent on the morning of delivery notifying me of such. Customer service seems good too, I once emailed a question and got a response within an hour or two.
Overall I'm quite satisfied with everything, and will continue ordering it. Hope this review helps if you're deciding, I was in the same situation before decided to order for the first time.
This stuff is exactly what I was looking for. Fits my macros perfectly, and it's convenient and tastes good. It's super reasonably priced and backed by a great team.
This product s vegan and gluten free which is the best since I cannot take other meal replacement that is whey protein or wheat flour.
To help w the mixing, you can use a metal spring coil (the shaker that many people use at the gym)
I've regularly consumed Soylent powder, liquid and Hold Foods for comparison. Been drinking Biolent Flex for 2 weeks.
At 500 cal, it keeps me at least as full as the other two. Taste-wise, I've gotten more used to it but IMO it's worse than Hol Foods, and worse yet compared to the Soylents. Mixability, it mixes up easier than Hol Foods for sure but worse than Soylent- leaving little white globs regardless of how hard I shake it up. Finally for nutrition, it's among the best with the only notable exception being fibre which is understandable given liquid format.
In short I mostly like Biolent Flex but ultimately can't quite get behind the taste (it's also the most expensive per calorie). I'm leaning towards not ordering again, the flavor is a bit too gross.
Still starting out, but so far it tastes great, leaves me full, and I have sufficient energy until the next meal.
It is pretty filling, but it doesn't taste as good as others. Also it goes off very quickly, so drink it as soon as you take it out of the fridge.
I received 28 meals and after using I have to say its way better than soylent in both taste and more importantly, 1 meal of 500kcal(4 scoops in 2 drinks) makes me feel really full and that is quite a feat. The only negative aspect so far was the quite long time to took to actually arrive after I put an order in (about 3-4 weeks).
I have nothing bad to say about the product. I love the taste and it's easy to prepare. The only downside is how long it took me to receive my delivery:
I use Bioflex to replace breakfast and my morning coffee. Add a cup of ice and two shots of espresso and you get a two in one drink, no problem.
Product is very good, no after taste, the taste is ok almost neutral. Tip do the 2h wait in the fridge on top shelf for the best texture.
Enjoy this even more than Soylent and Hol Food for taste! Although it’s a bit more per second than Hol Food, the quality of ingredients is more than worth it!!
This is the highest protein food that I could find and for the price and amount of nutrients it's a great deal. I switched from hol food because their inconsistent formula and it was tough going from a very chocolatey meal to one that definitely has undertones of peas. But for anyone worried about taste, 1 tsp of Ceylon Cinnamon per meal, it goes from "This is definitely using pea protein because I can't taste the plant" to "Time for my delicious cinnamon drink." Just make sure you use Ceylon Cinnamon as it's a nontoxic form of cinnamon.
Trying Biolent Flex as a replacement for Soylent. Satisfied with shipping and price, texture is not bad, and it's effective as a meal replacement in that I don't feel hungry. However, I find the artificial sweetener taste far too strong and too sweet, so much so that hesitate to order it again.
I find the drink quite sweet, can you tell me why they put artificial sweeteners in and are the ingredients organic?
I'm a past Soylent user and now a happy Biolent Flex user. It was great to find a product similar to the one I was already consuming that ships for free within Canada! The product itself is filling, quick, easy to mix, and the price is right for me to go mostly solid food free as my diet of choice. Adding in a couple things like some vegan hot chocolate powder and a bit of PB2 for taste allows me to vary the flavour while maintaining a solid vegan diet, which is no easy task to accomplish for ~$400 a month.
A perfect example of the excellent level of customer service would be from my last shipment. I had a package that was damaged in shipping, one of the bags was perforated. Upon contacting the company I was immediately reimbursed for the cost of a single bag without needing to jump through multiple hoops. Fantastic way to show your customer base you respect and trust them.
I've recently dropped my subscription to a smaller amount, but only because I haven't had the chance to work my way through a surplus I've been building up due to not consuming only Biolent for every meal as I originally intended to. Fortunately with the 1 year expiration date I can happily sit on those bags until they're consumed while the smaller order continues to ship out to me.
My only hope is that they continue offering the powdered version of Biolent going forward, I heard rumblings of a possible end to the run but that was months back and seems to be incorrect at this point. I'd also like to see the introduction of a cost effective bracket between 28 meals and 112 meals as I feel like there should be a small amount of savings if you're looking to order 56 meals a month rather than just doubling up the order of 28 meals.
I’m drinking Biolent for two of my daily meals and I always feel full but not heavy or bloated. Way better than some of the other powders I’ve tried.
Tip: I prefer it in a blender bottle. That way you can give it a little swirl between sips to keep the bigger particles suspended in the water.
Nice flavour, I actually prefer it to soylent. A bit sweet, however. I could do with less of the artificial sweetener.
Neutral tasting product.
Texture quality is poor.
It is highly recommended you let it chill in the fridge overnight to make it more palatable.
I use it as breakfast every morning.
It may taste like matcha tea and wood pulp, but if you put in a bottle of chocolate premier protein you're not only getting double your protein but also masking the taste. It tastes fine by itself if you use water, but who doesn't like chocolate! I've already stopped gaining weight with the medication I'm on and I'm hoping to lose 60 pounds. My only question is whether or not it's part of a ketogenic diet like biolent keto
This website says there is 40 grams of protein in the Biolent Flex product. But the documentation that comes with Biolent Flex says that the Serving Size is 2 scoops and the Nutritional Facts says 20g. I would think the Nutritional Facts would be per serving size, which is standard for all product labeling and not per scoop (given that 2 scoops is one serving). So I am having 2 scoops and I really don't know if I am getting 250 calories and 20 grams of protein or if I am getting 500 calories and 40 grams of protein. This is very confusing.
Hello all,
As it has been seemingly quite common, I too transitioned to this website after the inability to purchase Soylent. A blessing in disguise for this company.
Anywho, I find the products here (both keto and flex) to be way more delicious than Soylent. I personally enjoy mine by using almond beverage and blending it in my magic bullet. I find that the almond beverage has the right viscosity to maintain an even distribution of the powder as opposed to using water and having the heavy particles drop to the bottom of the cup.
Thus, I've been enjoying these products thoroughly.
However! I have been using these powdered meals for a month or so. Not every meal. Just 1-2 a day, 4-6 days a week.
And today, as I write this, I noticed my hair being drastically different. That is, I'm losing hair. I'm seeing my scalp and receding hair as I look in the mirror. Never noticed this before. I'm a 27 year old male.
I briefly noticed some posts from people who consumed Soylent. But I never experienced this myself, although I consumed Soylent for less than a month in the past.
Now.. although this may be correlation and not causation, I have decided to stop consuming this product as of today to see what happens with my hair... Very surprised and worried.
We'll see what happens next..
I bought BIolent when Soylent stopped selling in Canada. I don't think I could go back to Soylent now. Biolent tastes way better, I look forward to drinking it. The extra protein makes it filling, 3 scoops keeps me sated for most of the work day. No digestive issues and better ingredients. I prefer Flex over Keto, smoother and less nutty. If you need a convenient and nutritious meal for work or workouts then Biolent is perfect.
Tasty, filling, and soy and dairy free. All the things I need to be healthy
It really fills you up. Tasty as heck.
Love this product. Smoother, less sweet and way better on my stomach than the Keto version. I also get way less hungry. Unless you are really into teh Keto diet, get Flex instead!
I came from Soylent as they're no longer allowed to sell in Canada. I bought Biolent Flex due to its protein to carb ratio is higher than the other options I've found.
I ordered two bags of Flex to take advantage of the free shipping. The packaging is good but it'd be nicer if it comes in a hard shell plastic box like Holfood or many protein powder.
I mix 4 scoops of Flex with 500 ml water. The taste reminds me of the powdered soy milk I've had in China and I really like it. The texture is slightly thicker than Soylent.
I am enjoying the Flex and will definitely buy again.
Better than Soylent. No stomach or bowel issues with this product. Makes my life easier. I eat 1 serving per day for lunch and skip breakfast. So I only have to prepare one solid food meal per day. I love the flex version since I lift weights and need the protein. Tastes good to me. I feel like this is a nutritious and healthy product. Lots of fiber, good quality natural foods. No gmo. 100% vegan. Awesome!!!Thank you so much to Biolent for making a quality product! Only problem is when I tell people the name “Biolent” they think I’m saying “violent”.
Much better than it's competitors. 100% vegan and easy on my stomach. It also tastes great. This stuff is perfect for when you don't have time to eat or as a substitute for a snack. It keeps you full without feeling bloated. Would 100% recommend to all my friends and family.
After you've had a few shakes, you'll love the taste! Just takes a bit of getting used to.
Good product for sure. It beats Soylent by taste and ingredients. It is 1000% better than HolFood (do people read labels when comparing the two?!) After trying a few brands and researching, Biolent is determined as my go to product. Keep up to good work.
I tried Flex as a way of maintaining the convenience of Soylent while getting more protein. I was very impressed with the taste and how full it kept me compared to Soylent. The only things that I would say Soylent beats Biolent on is visual appeal, which is trivial, and cost, which is significant. I don't think I'll subscribe to Biolent, but I will be ordering it from time to time.
I tried Biolent a while ago and the taste and texture threw me off but they must have reformulated because the bags I got recently are great! The taste is pretty good and it's definitely smoother.
Tried biolent after switching from Soylent and Hol Food. I now bounce between Hol and Biolent. I like that it keeps me full, and the taste is way better than Soylent. I'm okay with it being pricier for the ingredients, but it is really sweet, and I have to break up two scoops into 500ml of water, and then repeat, in order to make it drinkable. If you're at all curious, its definitely worth the try.
The taste itself is pretty good. It is pretty sweet, but you get used to it.
The texture is pretty gritty, but it's ok. It feels a bit like oats.
After drinking it a week, I can say that I usually feel pretty full and stay full for a while.
It's a little hard to break up with a spoon, but I don't care. It tastes so good I just kinda chew through it. Definitely need to supplement some fruits and veggies so your poop doesn't get too solid. If you're going to be eating greasy burgers, eating a lot of this stuff makes your digestive system freak out a bit. But you want to make your digestive system freak out by bad unhealthy food.....which this is not
Great taste and I love that it's vegan, so I know I am doing something healthy for my body.
I'm not vegan nor vegetarian, but I dontry mostly to eat relatively well, so this product is a great addition to round out what I eat.
Not liking the new formula, loved the old one. It has a strange taste to it now.
The price and service are good compared to others, especially for Canadians. The recipe I thought was better before, when it had whey (I'm pretty certain). Now it seems to have gone vegan and has sucralose added, and some questionable saturated fat levels. The taste is ok, especially if you like coconut and sucralose I guess, but was better before in my opinion.
In general I think they are still tweaking the recipe so don't expect consistency.
And I keep getting emailed to leave a review. Then I get a bunch of popups. Why.
Anyways. I guess I really like this stuff. 200 or so meals in now. Tastes great. Macros are great. Price is competitive. Delivery is speedy.
Also why do some of these reviews look faked? I've seen the same comment repeated at least three times now. Or is it that the relative time isn't right..?
Tastes decent, fairly filling! A little gritty but less so that other meal replacement powders I've tried. It's not as homogeneous as soylent, but I think I don't mind that, its not like you have to chew it or anything. It's green which is kinda funny.
Did not come with a scoop which is unfortunate... had to manually figure out that a serving is 1/2 cup.
Good mix of macros, strange gritty texture. The taste is plain and slightly sweet (I ended up mixing some chocolate protein powder in to balance it). For the money I think I prefer the competition.
I was looking for a replacement to the 100% food I'd been using before they went nutty (as in odd, not the food) and found Biolent. It has less flavour but also way less sugar which is a plus so totally worth it. My first order was supposed to come with a measuring cup but didn't which could have been a pain if I didn't have my own scale.
I'm used to protein powder drinks so starting on Biolent was a bit different. There were some larger chunks of what I think are oats. I started blending it in the morning and leaving it in my fridge for a few hours then re-blending it and it is much better. There are still little pieces that you can clearly feel when swallowing it but I think that is unavoidable given the amount of fiber this contains. The taste is great, very mild and refreshing, best when chilled. The color is a pale green, sort of looks like a kale shake, not a gross color at all. I am lactose intolerant but have had no issues with this product. I'd recommend this and will likely be ordering again.
I recently switched to Biolent Flex and am loving the experience so far. Coming from Soylent, I find the taste and texture much better. Not everyone will have this opinion but I appreciate that I can actually recognise the some of the different elements while drinking the preparation. I also like the extra protein provided by this formula.
I do however find the price to be a bit steep, with taxes it costs close to 1.5 times as much per calorie than what I used to pay for Soylent (and that's with the rough exchange rates, without them it would be worse). Hopefully the price will come down once the company grows.
I drink one serving per day on average and expect to order more soon.
I can't describe the difference biolent has made for me. I have always felt hunger and anxiety and stress and i have suffered alcoholism to the point of health deterioration. I bought biolent because i was looking for the least expensive and most efficient way to stop eating bread and cheese and meat based foods.. I never expected that after a couple of weeks of eating 100% biolent i would feel like a fully functional human being. I have been suffering for 15 years, always feeling out of balance and following whatever my body craved.. For the first time ever, i'm ahead of what my body needs, and i literally don't have to think about food anymore. I always have one biolent meal ready in the fridge, and when i drink it, i make another to replace it. I'm doing about 1500cal/day and maybe twice a week i will treat myself to a very healthy and balanced normal meal for social events, but my fridge and cupboards are now empty of food other than the container in the fridge that holds the biolent mix, the shake i made for later, and the refill bags.
.
As someone who went through addiction, this is probably the most vital tool i've had at my disposal, because it helped my body balance itself to where i don't feel cravings that i don't understand and lost my sobriety over. I don't know what it does for someone in peak condition, but if it made a life-altering difference for me, i absolutely believe it will improve the life of pretty much everyone on earth regardless of where they are at. Please, unless you have allergies to an ingredient, give this a shot..
It changed my life in a few weeks and sorted my health right the #%^* out.
Biolent Flex is excellent for when I don't have the time to make a meal and don't want to eat out (which is usually unhealthier too). I prefer its texture after leaving it in the fridge overnight, but have had it right after making it too. It mixes easily enough when you shake it, but does tend to separate and will need a few shakes before you actually consume it.
Though it usually doesn't make me feel as full as eating real food might, its thick texture does satiate me enough to get rid of hunger for a while and I have used it several days in a row for lunch without hunger issues. I've tried 100% food (chocolate flavour) as well which I did NOT like in terms of texture or taste. Biolent Flex is slightly sweet; I think it did take me a few times to acquire the taste but now I look forward to consuming it, especially because I feel good health-wise after. Will order again, though I hope the price doesn't continue to go up.
The taste is a little earthy, kind of like not the best oatmeal. Pretty standard for this type of product. Mixes very easily with a small blender, which is much better than average for this type of product. Wish it had more VIt. D but otherwise happy! Already ordered another batch.
I want to like Biolent Flex more than I do. It tastes good and is easy to mix, but I have to chew it before I swallow. It's difficult for me to drink it straight when I can feel the chunks that haven't been completely ground up. The texture is terrible, and it takes away my enjoyment of the meal. Another inconvenience is that it's impossible to drink from anything other than a blender bottle. Much of the powder will settle to the bottom, so I have to re-shake it before every sip. If the powder were more homogeneous (or maybe thicker to mask the parts that haven't been ground all the way), I'd be significantly more satisfied with the product.
Really good
I like the idea of fewer carbs and more protein in this product. However as an athlete i know that having solely whey protein is not the best for recovery. I wish that the brown rice protein had not been taken out for this or the replaced it with a whey/casein blend. Also wish there was a measuring scoop in these bags or the option to receive one. All in all awesome product im gunna keep ordering the original and add my own protein.
The taste is fine, a bit chalky to my liking. After a few days of craving carbs, I now feel I can easily get through my day using this product for breakfast and lunch. I will be ordering a few more bags of biolent flex in the next few days. I wish they would include a measuring spoon rather than weighing out 116g which is a pain (the flaw with saying 1 cup is how easily this mix can pack down).
Taste is fairly mild so will be good for mixing and it was much easier to drink than I really expected, tastes a lot like mildly sweat oat meal.
I have tried the original Soylent and compared to that I much prefer Biolent flex. Better taste, consistency, and as a athlete I prefer the higher protein content.
