The macros are great (for my needs) and also super convenient. Tastes a bit like oatmeal and I'd recommend letting it sit for the hour is indicates.
Taste a lot better than expected, although slightly chunky if you don't leave it in the fridge for a few hours.
Pleasing taste, nice texture, nothing to complain about. I find leaving it in the fridge for a whole day gives the best results. At 24 hours it becomes thicker and smoother.
I like the flavour better than expected; it's really good on its own but works well blended with various additions. I find it satisfying and do not feel hunger for a reasonable amount of time after. The only reason I didn't give it five start is personal and may not reflect your preferences/experience: it doesn't become thick. I have gastritis and when my stomach is too empty it becomes irritated, so anything I eat needs to take space to prevent this. In this case it is easily remedied by eating a few celeries or chia seeds. So do note that this is a very specific problem and does not indicate any flaws in the product. I tried Ketochow and didn't digest it very well, so the fact that this keeps me in ketosis and is filling is amazing for me. I definitely recommend it, it's a quality product.
It makes me poop, whilst other keto shakes bunged me up.
It gives me gas but hey, fiber does that. I figure if you're gonna eat a lot of fiber (and you should) you're gonna have gas.
It doesn't keep me very full, I have two "meals" for breakfast and lunch (so a total of 2X2=4 meals, and I eat other stuff for dinner) and it still barely keeps me full. I am also a 6'1" male and I've eaten a lot my whole life so there's that.
But basically KetoOne and Keto Fuel both made me constipated so for me this is the best option, although I might try Ketolent or Actualize Keto.
Love that it's vegan, keto, and is amazing with coconut milk and chilled in the freezer+fridge.
Only complaint is the amount of liquid needed for each meal (4-6 cups!) but that isn't enough to detract from the overall awesome product
Keeps me very very full. It also feels great to know that the ingredients I'm putting into my body are top notch - a very different experience from Soylent. Also my first experience with a Keto dirt. Perhaps that is where the fullness comes from. Also - many people are obsessed with texture and smoothness. I love the flax seeds that I instinctively try and chew. It's like drinking porridge. Great job Biolent!
I have no complaints about the flavour, solubility or consistency (for what it's worth, I use a blender to mix). What I cannot get past, however, is the intensely chemical sweetness. I admit to having a generally low tolerance for artificial sweeteners, but this is the worst of any *lent product I've tried. Cutting it with some peanut butter powder helps somewhat, but it's a pity because the base flavour is quite good on its own. I would gladly buy a less-/un-sweetened version, but would not buy the current formulation again.
Former soylent user and I have to say I've yet to find the right water/powder mix (seems too thick) and I'm not a fan of the texture...very gritty, however the product itself seems superior. Low carbs and sugar and highly nutritious and helped me greatly with starting my KETO diet. One thing I like better about soylent though is that they shipped 2000 cal bags. I wish Biolent did this as I hate constantly scooping from one giant bag of powder. They confirmed you can mix it and keep it refrigerated for up to 72 hours so if they had 2000 cal bags I would just dump into my old soylent pitcher like I used to...perfection.
I’m also former soylent. I really like the flavour, the very low sugar content and high protein option. I used to mixed soylent with extra protein - but no more! I will be continuing Biolent Flex for the foreseeable future.
I switched to Biolent because Soylent stopped selling the Canada. I heard good reviews for Biolent, but I am not impressed. The mix is very chunky and the amount of water needed to have a 500 calorie meal is too much in one go. I like the flavor but it is not something that can be modified. You're stuck drinking sweet green sludge. One bonus is that it is vegan and soy free. I don't mind soy myself, but it is everywhere! Good on Biolent for making a meal replacement without it.
It is something I can drink regularly. I prefer the texture and the flavour of the Flex, but this isn't far behind. Mixes easy. I just drop in the freezer for 20 minutes after mixing and it's good to go.
Very much enjoying Biolent Keto for about a month now, it's been very helpful for managing the diet. My only complaint is that I don't find it as filling as I had hoped, but it's a good gap filler especially when I'm out and about. Delicious and easy to digest, mixes easily, I like the texture. Will be buying again :)
Just got my order and have not drank much, but I’m not really into how sweet this tastes. I don’t mind the nutty parts. I don’t like that I have to plan meals 2hrs ahead either. I’ve been on Soylent for 2 out of my 3 meals a day. I love that I just have a pitcher in the fridge I can go back to whenever. I don’t even really eat it at set times. Just whenever I’m hungry. As long as I eat around 1/2 of the jug a day, im in a good place. This mixing them up 2 hours prior to eating may be tricky for me. I’m also not into the price, after shipping and tax 14 meals came to $70/$80. Much more expensive than Soylent. I like the idea of the low carbs, so maybe that will make up for all the annoying stuff. If I suddenly lose weight and feel amazing and get used to the sickley sweet taste, maybe I will come back and change this review.
Biolent has really improved the taste and texture with 1.4! Especially when prepared with almond milk, I genuinely look forward to my smoothies and always feel full for a good long time afterwards. If I could change one thing, I'd like to see the net carbs dropped just a bit more to make this the perfect no-brainer keto meal but this is definitely displacing my previous 'lent subscription as my staple meal replacement.
It does exactly what I wanted to achieve. Carb-full breakfast crashes me physically and mentally couple hour later. So taking Biolent Keto every other morning fills me up and gives a nice and leveled energy boost for hours. Some people complaining about nut pieces. Those chunks actually very important part of the drink. It tricks your body to process it like a real meal, so you whole organs system benefits.
It tasted and smelled great, went down fairly easy. Let's get that out if the way. It was mostly chopped nuts, so imagine drinking that. Top half of the cup is tasty smoothie, second half is just chewing and swallowing damp nuts.
That would have been great to know before hand. Like a lot of people, I don't really digest nuts too well. So I was only getting part of the nutrients. Unusable for me, I'm told it's because of my Native American physiology.
Do not put it in a blender or add protein powder. Turns the taste just awful. Making it more than 6 hours before hand, say for lunch at work, is I'll advised. It turns to a small swamp.
My friends love it and it seems to work for them though, so have it.
Seems perfect. Except for the flavoring. I don't eat junk food and don't sweeten my drinks. Biolent keto has a sharp chemical taste to me. It tastes like tooth paste to me, which makes me think it's the sucralose. I'm thankful that's it's listed in the ingredients and not secretly added. Couldn't care less for the vanilla flavoring either, I'd add my own flavors if need be. Still, a good product, better food than the breakfast that I would eat instead.
So easy to mix! Just add water! Most keto meal replacements need cream and fish oil. Way smoother than the stuff I had been making at home before. Mixed some in a Ninja Blender smoothie bottle and some in a shaker bottle, fridge over night. Some slight mouth grit to it, but goes down smooth. Smoother in the blender for sure. Nice vanilla flavour, a little nutty, a friend said it tastes faintly of ripe banana. No gastro side effects. Likely to buy again.
Its good. Makes counting macros easy. Tastes good especially with instant coffee mixed with it. An easy to pack breakfast and lunch or post workout snack. Definately recommend
Biolent Keto tastes great and its very filling. I don't mind the grittiness, although its a minor pain to always shake bottle before each drink so it doesn't settle. The flavour is fairly sweet, so I use a lot of water. I definitely recommend mixing and letting it sit overnight to remove some of the grittiness.
Overall, great product.
Love the flavour and macros. Got a bit gloopy initially, but started using a blender bottle to break up the congealed bits when shaking after letting it sit in the fridge to chill. I like the grit personally, but I can see how that texture would turn some off. Just got another month supply.
After doing the original blend for over 6 months I thought I would switch it up and try the KETO blend. Sadly, this was a major mistake as it offers next to no fuel for a male who isn't used to the ketogenic diet. Luckily, I was able to gift the balance to my GF whom does enjoy it. I have since switched back to the original blend which suits my routine much better. As a word of advice, the new instructions are a bit confusing whereas the old ones were crisp and clear.
I mix it with Super Body Fuel's Athlete Fuel to nail my macros. Biolent Keto smells and tastes awesome and would probably be my choice even if another company made something similar, but I'm not even aware of another option for vegan keto. Please, Biolent, make this stuff forever!
Very impressed with Biolent Keto. Let me set a few things straight. In some of the reviews that I read beforehand, I saw warnings that the mix was too sickly-sweet, and that it comes without a scoop. These two problems, if they once existed, seem to be no more. The product does have a nice sweet vanilla smell, but the flavour is quite neutral, with even a surprising touch of saltiness in the aftertaste. There was indeed a scoop, even though I had a measuring cup on hand the first day in my expectation that there would be no scoop. I heard also that the texture was unpleasant, but I found that the slight grittiness/seediness was easily palatable, and not unpleasant. The comments saying how filling this product is, were quite true. I was pretty surprised how long I could go on just a single serving (250 calories). And I feel amazing when I am on this. Lots of energy, elevated mood. I have been using this as a sort of breakfast shake to hold me over until lunch (or usually, until mid-afternoon). Haven't yet tried a full day (or more) on this product alone, but at some point I'd be interested to give it a shot. Thanks Biolent! I intend to keep using Biolent Keto.
I'm a big fan of the Macro ratio, but the drink always comes out with a rough grit. Not sure if there's a better way to prepare the drink from the powder, or if the powder could be improved. It also tastes quite a bitter sweeter than I would prefer for a meal replacement.
This has a pleasant taste to me, subtle vanilla, not too sweet. The texture is significantly better than another comparable product that is also produced in Canada. This was much less smooth than what I was expecting, it has full seeds in the powder, not unpleasant but you will have to chew. I hope they come out with a chocolate formula soon! Also, this does not contain stevia (Thank the heavens!) so it does not have that disgusting aftertaste.
I ordered several different 'lents after the big one raised their Caandian prices. You can guess the top contenders in US/Canada I tried. Comparing them all I am really impressed with the price/taste/calorie/nutrient/ingredient combination of Keto. And will say right off it's the one I'll stick with. It does not mix perfectly smooth as some other 'lents aim to do, but I actually prefer that. The flavour is nice, and really, after a month on almost any 'lent you will tend crave whatever that flavour is. Just one star off for not having very balanced vitamin ingredients - other 'lents tend to get their blends very close to 20% (5 servings daily) or 25% (4 servings daily) per serving. Keto can give you anywhere from 14% (Chloride/Sulfer/Iodine/Biotin) to over 60% (Thiamin/B12/Magnesium) of daily requirements in one serving. (Although most of the key ones are right in the 20-33% range (potassium/calcium/etc)) Great carb/protien balance and the fact its vegan is cool too.
Second order of biolent. I was so impressed the first time that i ordered again.. This time it has a distinctive chemical taste and is so chunky that i have to dry blend a scoop at a time (1/2 serving) before it's in a state where i can mix it with water to blend again so it's drinkable.
So i have to use the blender three times just to be able to have one serving, and that serving tastes like a chemical vitamin.
I'm giving them one last shot after talking to customer service, who says that formula has been changed and they are using an improved mix as of april.
So, we'll see. But i'm skeptical.
I have tried other meal replacements in the past, this is easily my favorite largely due to the low carbohydrate formula...that and the recognizable ingredients!
I've been using the Keto blend for about 2 weeks now, as part of a weight loss experience, replacing about 2/3 of my daily intake with it. I have to say, the experience has been easier than expected, I wasn't hungry all the time, and the weight did start to come off pretty quickly. I will definitely be continuing this for a little while at least, as the results are there, and this product makes it possible. The vanilla flavor can be a little overpowering sometimes, but otherwise, it tastes pretty good.
I'd like to see a non-flavored version though, the added vanilla kind of limits the potential.
I've been using Biolent Flex for about a month, and then switched over to Keto for my next order. I like Keto better because it doesn't have strong sweet flavor that Flex has (or the more bitter elements in Keto balance it out better).
The major difference is that Keto is significantly granier and requires chewing, even after I've blended it. It actually takes me about 10-15 minutes to "eat," whereas I could down flex within about 15 mins.
Overall I think I will stick with Keto for the future because it's easier for me to taste the ingredients that are in it, whereas flex hits one note of sweetness.
Last note: I haven't used Biolent in a regimented way over a long period of time so I can't say much about measurable effects over a long span of time. I CAN say Keto is filling and I'm confident it's better for me than the junk that I usually eat.
Mixes really well!
Could use more protein, but the taste/mix/texture is good.
Not at all what I was expecting, but I like it.
I got a weeks worth of the keto. It was pretty good but i couldnt used it to replace all my meals as planned. Still would drink one a few times a week when i am too bust for real food and too healthy for fast food.
I received my first bag Biolent Keto last week. I'll break down below the pros and cons:
- Filling. Immediately after finishing my first serving of Biolent Keto, I was full for hours. This is great especially when I know I'm on the go for school and work.
- Powder + Water = Meal. Most other Keto powders require additional MCT oils to blend up to get the optimal results. It was great that all I needed in a meal was already provided in the bag.
- Abundance of energy. I took my first meal before going rock climbing for a few hours. I have to say, I've never felt like I've had so much energy before climbing. This is especially considering that I do work an 8-5 job and go climbing straight after work.
- Minimal ingredients. In the grand scheme of meal replacements, the Biolent team did a great job of keeping the ingredients to a minimum while providing a quality shake.
- Taste. The first sip was delicious! I tasted the vanilla among hints of other earthy ingredients. However, every sip after that progressively got worse. There was a point where I felt my gag reflex was going to kick in (fortunately, it didn't). For me, I think it was due to overpowering vanilla presence in the drink. Not sure if it's possible to make a more neutral flavor drink?
Overall, it will be tough for me to power through the rest of the bag I bought. It saddens me a little because this product has A LOT of potential. However, if I can't stomach the flavor, those pros will be meaningless.
TL;DR - Filling. Lots of energy. Quality ingredients. Unsustainable taste.
Really impressed with the flavour of Biolent Keto. A vanilla flavour that hides the strong taste of powdered flaxseeds and rice protein. Each serving has about 1000mg of Potassium and 350mg of Magnesium so this is very good for Keto. I personally take it twice a day and have a Keto lunch-dinner of my choice.
Note: The texture might not be for everyone, I'm used to eating powdered flaxseeds with hotwater, but if you aren't or haven't tried yet buy some and see first before buying.
Just got my Biolent Keto today. I'd say for the price, it's a great option for anyone looking at starting the diet. I'm a big fan of the higher-quality ingredients (i.e superfoods) compared to the other -lents, and the taste is pretty good as well, with a bit of a vanilla-y flavour. My only complaint is the texture - you definitely have to chew it as you drink. I managed to mostly solve this for myself by putting the powder in a coffee grinder before mixing, but it would be nice if the mix had a finer grind straight out of the bag to eliminate the problem. And it's still not perfectly smooth of course - but definitely tolerable. Overall though, I'm loving my Biolent so far, and plan to buy more soon.
Love the taste, texture, ingredients. This is what I've been looking for, first trying Soylent, Joylent and Ambronite. Thanks for making a low carb alternative that doesn't break the bank and tastes awesome for what it is. Will definitely be re-ordering. Only issue is some RDI's are way over, especially if you consume more than two servings per day. I just do one for breakfast and one for dinner which has worked for me so far. Thumbs up.
